Angular contact ball bearings

Unlike deep groove ball bearings, angular contact ball bearings are not symmetrical in design. Raceways and shoulders are arranged offset. Due to the contact angle running at an angle to the radial plane, axial forces can be better absorbed. The axial load carrying capacity increases as the contact angle increases.

Does your application require a difficult combination of axial and radial loads? Our experts are here to adjust the contact angle individually to your load case.

Angular contact ball bearing - single row

Single row angular contact ball bearings are ideal for large radial and axial loads with high speeds. Like deep groove ball bearings, they are self-retaining. However, single-row angular contact ball bearings are only suitable for axial forces in one direction.

Axial forces on both sides can be accommodated by a second, mirror-image angular contact ball bearing. Do you need a complex special solution for your application? Additionally, these bearings are available in a range of sizes, including options for shaft diameters under 10 mm.

Your advantages with CW

  • Individual adjustment of radial and axial load capacity
  • High speeds possible for higher loads
  • Quiet, low-vibration operation
  • Maximum energy efficiency
  • Reliability even under difficult operating conditions
  • Long service life
  • Low maintenance / greased for life
  • Minimal total cost of ownership
  • Also available as miniature bearing

Angular contact ball bearings - double row

The well-known ball bearing advantages, such as very smooth running, also apply to double row angular contact ball bearings. For higher radial and axial loads as well as limited installation space, the double row angular contact ball bearing is the perfect choice. The O arrangement of the contact angles makes them suitable for axial forces in both directions.

Tilting moments can be accommodated for a rigid bearing arrangement. You can configure your customized solution quickly and easily with CW Bearing's configurator.

Your advantages with CW

  • Individual adjustment of radial and axial load carrying capacity possible
  • Higher load carrying capacity than a comparable single row angular contact ball bearing
  • Smaller installation space than two comparable single-row bearings
  • Quiet, low-vibration running
  • Long operating life
  • Low maintenance / greased for life
  • Minimal total cost of ownership
