Our team in China received the “Special Contribution Award” from BYD back in 2022 – and we’ve only just found out. The award was presented at the BYD NEV Core Supplier Convention. NEV stands for “New Energy Vehicle,” a term used in China to describe electric vehicles such as battery-powered cars and plug-in hybrids.

Out of 12,000 suppliers, only 18 were honored with this award – and CW was one of them. The reason: CW successfully built up a complete ball screw production for a steering system – from scratch to full operation – in just six months. It’s especially remarkable that CW received this award in its very first year as a direct TIER 1 supplier to BYD.
